The National Park Service turns 100 years old on August 25. To celebrate, all of the national parks are free through the weekend. Special events at parks around the U.S. will celebrate the anniversary. President Woodrow Wilson created the National Park Service on August 25, 1916. Thanks to the celebration, visits to national parks around the U.S. are up over three percent in 2016.
